Subject:         Move of Group Rossignol Canada to Montreal


This correspondence will advise you of the planned moved of Group Rossignol Canada’s headquarters from its long-time home in Granby, located in the Quebec Eastern Townships, to Montreal’s South-West borough near the Atwater Market. This move will be completed by June 2012 and involves our customer service, credit, marketing, sales and administrative staffs. Distribution, Warehousing and Warranty will continue to be located in their current facilities in Granby.

“Although GRC has been located in Granby for nearly 30 years, we felt that the benefits to our customers of a Montreal location would be significant,” stated Tim Petrick, President of The Rossignol Group North America. “The new offices will be about 20 minutes from Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown allowing better access to our offices for our customers across Canada. This new location will provide us with a more central location for our key retail partners based in Quebec.”

Group Rossignol Canada’s new home will be in the Aberton Building, located on Rue St Patrick, which is in the process of being remodeled into one of the most exciting new office complexes in Montreal. Originally a textile manufacturing facility, the Aberton Building is being reinvented as New York style business lofts. An historic building from the 1920’s, Aberton Ltd is in the process of creating office loft spaces from 500-900 sq’ based upon environmentally sensitive construction methods and energy efficient, sustainable operations.

GRC will be responsible for building out its roughly 4K sq‘ of office space, show rooms and meeting areas. “Our philosophy in planning the space was to create great offices for our employees, while providing multi-use rooms to meet and interact with our customers,” said Pierre Gadbois, VP and Chief Operating Officer for Group Rossignol Canada. “Many of the elements inside the new facility, including light fixtures, shelving and sound insulation, will be made from “repurposed” manufacturing equipment from Rossignol’s European factories. Our intention is to create an interesting, environmentally sound work space in these new offices.”

According to Chris Horan, VP Sales and Marketing for GRC, “Our new offices are very close to a high percentage of our customers. We plan to use this facility for line previews, product feedback and meetings with our independent sales representatives.” Horan went on to say, “This will be a huge benefit to helping us stay closer to our customers and to maintaining GRC’s reputation as a responsive customer service organization.”
